Campus News (Text/Photos by the Publicity Department of the Party Committee) On the morning of September 5th, the university held the 2025 Autumn Semester Opening Cadre Meeting in Conference Room 201 of the Administrative Building at the Nanquan Campus. All school leaders and middle-level cadres of the university attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Changhong Chen, Secretary of the Party Committee.

At the meeting, President Fangcheng Sun summarized the completion of key summer tasks from five aspects: in-depth promotion of education and teaching work, optimized development of personnel work, standardized implementation of student work, strong guarantee of infrastructure and logistics work, and efficient and orderly enrollment and employment work. He also arranged and deployed the key tasks for the new semester from nine aspects: focusing on party building leadership to stimulate the vitality of high-quality development; focusing on education and teaching to solidify the foundation of talent cultivation; focusing on the talent team to strengthen the core support for development; focusing on disciplines and scientific research to enhance innovation and service capabilities; focusing on artificial intelligence to accelerate the pace of digital and intelligent transformation; focusing on the 15th Five-Year Plan to clarify the strategic development path; focusing on enrollment and employment to feed back the quality of talent cultivation; focusing on student work to enhance students' literacy; and focusing on a safe campus to consolidate a harmonious and stable environment.

Fangcheng Sun emphasized that every cadre, teacher, and management service staff should quickly get into gear, think proactively, take initiative, and act responsibly. They should focus their work on the front line of talent cultivation, service, and guarantee, view their missions from a higher standpoint, plan development with a broader vision, and promote implementation with a more pragmatic work style. With an unremitting spirit and a fearless fighting attitude, they should work together to push the university's cause to a new level.

Finally, Changhong Chen put forward four requirements: first, deeply understand and quickly convey the spirit; second, refine measures and solidate the responsibilities; third, coordinate and cooperate to form synergy; fourth, improve work style and pursue practical results. Chen Changhong emphasized that all cadres should continuously enhance their initiative to "want to do things", continuously hone their ability to "be able to do things", and jointly create a good atmosphere of "succeeding in doing things". They should use the real performance of each position to accelerate the university's development and make greater contributions and more achievements in implementation to promote the high-quality development of the university.
