Break through with strength! Students from our school won the first prize again in the second Southwest Region University Students' Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation)

Net news (article/ picture the School of Basic ) On August 8th, the final of the second Southwest Region University Students' Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation) and the Southwest Region Preliminary round of the 11th National University Students' Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation) came to an end in Mianyang, Sichuan Province. Our students stood out in the competition with many renowned universities such as Sichuan University, Chongqing University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Yunnan University. With their solid professional foundation and outstanding performance, they won a total of 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 7 third prizes.

It is learned that this competition is jointly organized by the Southwest Region Working Committee of the College Physics Experiment Special Committee of the College Physics Course Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the Sichuan Physical Society, the Chongqing Physical Society, the Yunnan Physical Society, the Guizhou Physical Society and the Xizang Autonomous Region Physical Society, and is hosted by Southwest University of Science and Technology. Co-organized by the Sichuan Institute of Military-Civilian Integration and Xihua University. This year's competition brought together 466 elite teams from 60 universities in the southwest region, with over 2,300 teachers and students participating. At the competition site, contestants from various universities in the southwest region showcased their talents. The competition included two core templates: experimental explanation and defense, which posed a dual test to the contestants' professional foundation and comprehensive expression ability. At the final site, Li Yingying, a contestant from our school, delivered a lecture with meticulous logic and defended her defense with agility and fluency, helping her team win the first prize in the lecture category. This is the second first prize our school has won in this competition, highlighting the stable relay strength of our students. The other groups of contestants also won the second and third prizes respectively for their outstanding performances.

The College Students' Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation) is a project on the national competition directory ranking list and also the most influential event in the field of basic physics across the country. This competition aims to cultivate college students' innovative spirit and practical ability, and enhance their teamwork awareness and comprehensive quality in the competition. The results of this competition not only demonstrate the professional strength of our school's students, but also highlight the specific achievements of the physics course teaching reform in our school.
