Our Faculty Member Participates in the 5th National Road Survey and Design Teaching Seminar and Delivers a Thematic Report

This news (article/photos by Jun Lin, College of Smart City Construction) — From October 18 to 19, the 5th National Road Survey and Design Teaching Seminar was held at the Nan'an Campus of Chongqing Jiaotong University. Co-hosted by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Road Transportation and Engineering of Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, People's Communications Press, and Chongqing Jiaotong University, and organized by the College of Transportation Engineering of Chongqing Jiaotong University, the seminar gathered over 200 participants from more than 50 colleges, universities, and relevant institutions nationwide, including Southeast University, South China University of Technology, Northeast Forestry University, Wuhan University of Technology, and Chang'an University. With the theme "Digital-Intelligent Transformation Leads the Development of Road Survey and Design Education and the Cultivation of Compound Talents", the seminar focused on discussions around teaching reform, curriculum ideology and politics, intelligent teaching methods, and textbook construction.

Professor Jun Lin from our College of Smart City Construction was invited to attend the seminar and delivered a thematic report titled "Ideology-Politics Guidance, Integration of Virtual and Physical, and Integration of Learning and Application — Teaching Innovation and Practice of Road Survey and Design Course". During the seminar, Professor Lin comprehensively and in-depth shared the course teaching team's recent ideas on curriculum reform, construction of digital-intelligent teaching resources, development of simulation experiment platforms, and the talent cultivation achievements achieved through these measures. His innovative teaching concepts and solid practical results were highly recognized by experts present, and he was awarded a certificate of honor after the seminar.

This seminar has built an efficient communication and cooperation platform for the development of national road survey and design education, strongly promoting curriculum teaching reform and the innovation of compound talent cultivation models in the digital-intelligent context. The teaching team of our Road Survey and Design (a municipal-level curriculum ideology and politics demonstration course in Chongqing) will take this opportunity to continuously deepen teaching innovation practices, strengthen exchanges and collaboration with domestic universities in the field, and further enhance the academic teaching level and the effectiveness of curriculum-based talent cultivation.
