School of Computer Science and Internet of Things Holds 2024-2025 Academic Year Student Work Commendation Ceremony

Net news (Text/ School of Computer Science and Internet of Things Tian Hao,; Photo/ University Student Journalist Group Haoran Xu,) To further implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, commend advanced models, pool striving strength, and further stimulate the learning enthusiasm and sense of responsibility of all students in the school, the School of Computer Science and Internet of Things held the 2024-2025 Academic Year Student Work Commendation Ceremony in the Academic Lecture Hall on October 15th. Mingshu Tan, Vice President of the University, attended the ceremony, along with members of the school's leadership team, representatives of class tutors, representatives of counselors, and all sophomore and junior students of the school.
The ceremony kicked off with the playing of the National Anthem.Faling Li, Dean of the School, read out the Document on the Appointment of Undergraduate Class Tutors for the 2025-2026 Academic Year of the School of Computer Science and Internet of Things and the Document on the Appointment of Senior Student Mentors for the 2025-2026 Academic Year of the School of Computer Science and Internet of Things, and presented appointment letters to them.
Subsequently, Tao Huang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the School, read out the Decision on Commending Outstanding Individuals and Advanced Collectives for the 2024-2025 Academic Year of the School of Computer Science and Internet of Things. Attending leaders and teachers presented awards to dozens of categories of advanced individuals and collectives, including "Academic Pacemakers" and "Coder Research Pacemakers".
Finally, in his speech, Mingshu Tan put forward three hopes for the students. First, they should set clear goals and be "light-chasers" who study diligently and think profoundly. Second, they should have the courage to practice and be "doers" who integrate knowledge with action. Third, they should cultivate moral character and be "practitioners" who possess both virtue and talent. He affirmed the school's achievements in talent cultivation and academic atmosphere construction in the past academic year, and encouraged students to take award-winners as role models, grow in professional learning, scientific and technological innovation, and social practice, and write their youth with hard work.
The ceremony concluded with warm applause. It not only showcased the school's achievements in talent cultivation and the demeanor of teachers and students, but also sounded the clarion call for striving for excellence in the new academic year. In the future, all students will take various advanced models as benchmarks, injecting new vitality into the high-quality development of the school.
