Integration of competition and education, improvement of course quality - Our school organizes a special activity for young teachers to share teaching competitions

The event will be carried out through a combination of online and offline methods, with Professor Potao Sun and Associate Professor Yuan Chen from Chongqing University invited as keynote speakers, and more than 140 teachers from the whole school participating. Hosted by Min Yu from the Teacher Development Center.

Taking the segment that won the 2024 Chongqing Youth Education Set Award for "High Voltage Technology" as an example, Potao Sun conducted demonstration teaching. He combines his practical experience of advancing from college and school competitions to national competitions, emphasizing that participating in youth education competitions is not only a "training ground" for teaching abilities, but also an important platform for expanding horizons, integrating resources, and promoting growth. Around the key stages of preparing for the competition, Potao Sun systematically shared practical experience in teaching design, classroom presentation, integration of ideological and political education in the curriculum, PPT optimization, and preparation of teaching aids.

Yuan Chen focuses on the new trends in the evaluation of the Youth Education Competition, benchmarking the scoring rules of the competition. From topic selection strategies, condensed teaching concepts, teaching goal setting, to the organic integration of ideological and political education into the curriculum, AI technology empowerment of teaching, reconstruction of teaching content, optimization of teaching organization, polishing of language teaching style, and reflection of school characteristics, he provides a detailed analysis of the key points for preparing for the competition.

The on-site communication was lively and the learning atmosphere was strong, which gave everyone a deeper understanding of "using competition to promote teaching and learning". The participating teachers have expressed that they will take this training as an opportunity to continuously optimize curriculum design and classroom implementation, and promote the overall improvement of teaching ability and educational quality.
