Net news (article/ picture Shiyi Li from the Technology Department )On the afternoon of November 14th, the Science and Technology Department and the Student Affairs Department jointly held the "Zhihui Heavy Industry" Student Research and Academic Exchange Lecture for Chongqing University of Engineering in 2025. The five award-winning authors, supervisors, and representatives of teachers and students who were recommended by the college and evaluated by experts to win the first prize in the 2025 "Zhihui Heavy Industry" Student Research Academic Paper Competition attended the lecture. The lecture was chaired by Junliang Wang, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department.

This lecture mainly focuses on reporting the scientific research achievements of the award-winning students. Tang Shouyuan's team focused on the diagnosis of diabetes retinopathy, and proposed a multimodal image classification method integrating attention mechanism; Cai Chengcheng's team shares a plant disease and pest identification system based on multi-agent technology, striving to solve the problem of home maintenance diagnosis. The adaptive gait control method for quadruped robots by Wang Rui's team and the defect detection algorithm for automotive components by Deyi Li demonstrate the phased achievements of our school's teachers and students in engineering technology innovation breakthroughs. The Hongyu Ou team conducted empirical research to analyze the needs and development paths of remote psychological counseling users in Chongqing.

In his summary,Junliang Wang stated that all five projects involved in the report possess cutting-edge and innovative characteristics, with rigorous logic and sufficient evidence, fully reflecting the profound academic foundation of the research team. Junliang Wang further encouraged the students present to actively integrate into the teacher's research team, actively seek opportunities to participate in research projects, and regard this process as a key way to hone personal research literacy and build core competitiveness, laying a solid foundation for future long-term development.

In recent years, the school has attached great importance to student scientific research work. The Science and Technology Department and the Student Affairs Department have successfully hosted student scientific research paper selection activities for two consecutive years, and many award-winning papers have been successfully published. Through the activities, students' comprehensive qualities were forged from multiple dimensions, fully demonstrating the feedback effect of teachers' scientific research on teaching work, greatly stimulating students' enthusiasm for participating in scientific research projects, and reflecting the achievements of our university's high-level talent cultivation.
