Awards Double! Our University Shines in the 2025 Chongqing University Students' Innovation Method Competition

Recently, the "2025 Chongqing University Students' Innovation Method Competition" came to a successful close in Chongqing. After fierce competition, teachers and students of our university, with solid innovation capabilities and outstanding performance of high-quality projects, won 2 first prizes, 10 second prizes and 8 third prizes in the student group. Teachers Feng Tan and Shang Zhao were awarded the "Innovation Method Achievement Award". The number of award-winning projects of our university in this competition has doubled compared with the previous session, and the total number of awards ranks among the forefront of undergraduate universities in the city.

This competition was co-sponsored by the Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, with the theme of "Cultivating Innovative Talents and Serving Industrial Development". It aims to give play to the supporting role of innovation methods in scientific and technological innovation, guide college students to integrate innovation methods into practice, stimulate innovation vitality, improve application capabilities, and boost the development of new-quality productive forces. The competition set up two groups: student group and teacher group, covering 7 competition directions including invention and production, process improvement, innovative design, life creativity, entrepreneurship, higher vocational college, and promotion and application, attracting 795 projects from the whole city to compete on the same stage.

Our university attached great importance to this competition, taking it as an important measure to deepen innovation and entrepreneurship education and promote the integration of production and education. Through multiple rounds of strict reviews such as recommendations from secondary colleges and special school-level selections, 33 projects were finally selected to participate. The awards not only demonstrate the solid results of our university's innovation and entrepreneurship education and the quality of talent training, but also reflect the strong innovative thinking and practical ability of the teacher-student teams.

In the future, the university will continue to take various innovation and entrepreneurship competitions as carriers, further promote school-enterprise cooperation and the integration of production and education, focus on technological innovation and market demand, focus on the improvement of students' abilities, strive to cultivate more high-quality projects with high technological content, market potential and social benefits, and inject strong impetus into students' higher-quality employment and entrepreneurship and the development of regional industries.
