Net news (article/ picture the Office of Academic Affairs Beibei Luo)On the morning of December 17th, our university organized and held the first review meeting on application materials for bachelor's degree authorization of newly enrolled majors in 2025 in Conference Room 206 of the Administration Building. Mingshu Tan, Vice President of the university, attended the meeting. An expert review panel composed of heads of the Office of Academic Affairs, Quality Management Office, and Discipline Construction Office was established for the meeting. Relevant responsible persons from the School of Digital Economy and Management and the School of Intelligent Manufacturing also participated. The meeting was presided over by Xiaobo Zhou, Deputy Director of the Office of Academic Affairs.
Responsible persons of the two majors—Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering and Digital Economy—delivered reports on professional construction, faculty team, teaching conditions, talent training program, and quality assurance system. After deliberation, the expert panel agreed that both majors have met the standards for bachelor's degree authorization in terms of construction planning and measures, training objectives, curriculum system, faculty allocation, teaching and research capabilities, and experimental conditions. Meanwhile, the panel put forward the following improvement suggestions: further clarify the support from disciplines and majors, and set quantifiable and monitorable construction goals; optimize the logical supporting relationship between training objectives, graduation requirements, and the curriculum system; refine professional characteristics and construct a distinctive talent training model; strengthen the construction of a "double-qualified" faculty team to enhance teachers' practical teaching capabilities and industry-university-research collaboration abilities; deepen industry-education integration, and promote the alignment of curriculum content with industry standards as well as the connection between teaching processes and production practices; improve the application materials to ensure accurate data, standardized expressions, and prominent characteristics.
In his concluding remarks, Mingshu Tan emphasized that all schools must attach great importance to the bachelor's degree authorization review work. He required them to strictly align with the standards to improve the application materials, focus on applied talent training, optimize the curriculum system and practical teaching, strengthen the construction of the faculty team and experimental training conditions, and improve the professional teaching quality assurance system to ensure the effective achievement of training objectives.
