Counselor Li Chengyan of Our University Wins the National Third Prize in the 7th China Classic Recitation, Writing and Speech Competition

Net news (Article/Photos by the College Students’ Quality Education Center) Recently, the list of winners of the 7th China Classic Recitation, Writing and Speech Competition, sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the State Language Commission, was announced on the official website. Teacher Chengyan Li, counselor of the Digital Twin Industry College of our university, won the National Third Prize in the "Poetry Education in China" Poetry Explanation Competition with her explanation work "Qiang Jin Jiu"

With the theme of "Shining China with Classics, Continuing the Cultural Context", this competition aims to implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the Outline for Building an Education Power, serve the construction of an education power and a cultural power, strengthen the promotion of the national common language and characters, and inherit and develop the excellent traditional Chinese language and culture. Adhering to integrity and innovation, the competition has further expanded its coverage and influence through mechanism optimization and track expansion. For the first time, it opened a track for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, expanded the radiation scope of the overseas track, added a chalk calligraphy competition, and the explanation competition added groups for primary and secondary school students and vocational school students, effectively stimulating the participation enthusiasm of a wider group. Since its launch, it has attracted more than 20 million participants and a large number of excellent works, fully demonstrating the strong appeal of excellent traditional Chinese culture to teachers, students and all sectors of society.

After the competition was launched in March 2025, a total of more than 5.47 million works from various groups across the country were shortlisted for the preliminary round. Through layers of selection, Teacher Chengyan Li of our university successfully advanced to the final in the fierce competition with her in-depth interpretation and wonderful explanation of classic Chinese poems.

On September 7th, 2025, the final of the "Poetry Education in China" Poetry Explanation Competition kicked off at the Zhuhai Campus of Beijing Normal University. Chengyan Li went to the competition and showed the unique charm of Bayu culture inheritance on the national stage. At the final site, with full enthusiasm and professional quality, she integrated the beauty of poetry with cultural inheritance, showing her elegance in the competition and the momentum of our university in the field of classic Chinese communication, adding a bright touch to the local cultural card.

This award is not only the personal honor of Chengyan Li, but also an important achievement display of our university in the inheritance and education of excellent traditional Chinese culture. Taking this opportunity, our university will further strengthen the education of excellent traditional Chinese culture, promote the in-depth development of classic Chinese recitation, writing and speech activities, and contribute to cultivating new-era talents with profound cultural heritage and family and country feelings.
