School Leaders Lead a Delegation to Visit Inventec (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. – Exploring New Paths for Industry-Education Integration and Expanding New Space for High-Quality Employment

Net news (Text/Photos by Kefei Wei, School of Computer and Internet of Things) To thoroughly implement the work requirements of the Ministry of Education and Chongqing Municipal Education Commission on the special campaign of university Party secretaries and presidents visiting enterprises to expand employment posts and boost employment, further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, broaden employment channels for graduates, and fully promote more adequate and higher-quality employment for graduates, on the afternoon of January 8, Yeping Zhang, Deputy Party Secretary, Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary and Executive Vice President of our university, led a delegation to visit Inventec (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. Wu You, Deputy Director of the Student Employment Office, Faling Li, Dean of the School of Computer and Internet of Things, and employment directors from various secondary colleges, among seven people in total, participated in the visit.

Inventec (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. extended a warm welcome to the university's visiting group. Accompanied by Jun Xu, the relevant person in charge of the company, the visiting group visited the enterprise exhibition hall and learned in detail about the company's development history, core business, technical strength and industrial layout. It is reported that as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inventec Group, Inventec (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. has achieved rapid development since settling in Chongqing in 2010, with its market competitiveness and social influence continuously improving. It ranked the 8th in the "Top 100 Chongqing Enterprises" and is an important cooperative enterprise of our university. At present, a total of 76 graduates of our university from various cohorts are working or interning in the company.

After the visit, the two sides held a special forum. At the forum, Jun Xu further introduced the company's current operation status, future development plan and specific talent demands. Yeping Zhang gave a detailed introduction to the enterprise on the development history, school-running characteristics, discipline and major construction, as well as the achievements in talent cultivation of our university.

Three representatives of the Class of 2026 graduates from our university who are interning at the company shared their experiences and insights of transitioning from campus to the workplace, the challenges and gains of role transformation, as well as their growth and perceptions in practice.

Subsequently, the university and the enterprise conducted pragmatic, in-depth and constructive exchanges and discussions on topics such as the characteristics of talent demands under the current industrial environment, feasible paths for in-depth industry-education integration, innovation in the university-enterprise collaborative education model, and the co-construction mechanism of "order-based" talent training.

In his concluding speech, Yeping Zhang emphasized that the university has always adhered to the philosophy of characteristic school running, and taken the deepening of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation as an important direction for promoting high-quality development.

He stated that it is hoped that this visit will further consolidate the foundation of cooperation and expand the scope of cooperation, driving the two sides to carry out multi-level and substantive cooperation in talent cultivation, internship and employment, scientific research transformation and other aspects, and ultimately achieve the development goal of a win-win situation for the university, enterprises and students.

After the forum, a concise yet solemn plaque-awarding ceremony was held. On behalf of the university, Yeping Zhang officially presented the plaques of "Internship and Employment Base" and "Off-Campus Teaching Practice Base" to Inventec (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., marking that the cooperative relationship between the two sides has entered a new stage.

This special campaign of visiting enterprises to expand employment posts has not only effectively enhanced mutual understanding and trust between the university and the enterprise, but more importantly, accurately aligned with the specific requirements of the enterprise's development for the knowledge, ability and quality structure of talents.

The two sides conducted detailed communication on the customized talent training program and reached a number of consensuses, laying a solid foundation for the sustained, in-depth and systematic cooperation in the future and jointly cultivating high-quality applied talents that meet the needs of social and industrial development.
