Precise Funding Warms Hearts! Our University Holds the "Heartlight·Dedication" New Year's Greeting Event for Financially Distressed Students

To thoroughly implement the national student financial aid policies and fulfill the requirements of "precise aid and aid-oriented education," Chongqing Engineering College recently organized a series of New Year activities for financially disadvantaged students under the theme of "Heartlight·Liberation." These efforts aim to deliver the school's care and warmth precisely to every student from economically challenged families, helping them focus on their studies, stay warm through winter, and celebrate the New Year joyfully.

During the event, Vice President Jiandong Wang and Director of the Student Affairs Office Yan Huang led a team to visit student dormitories and extend care and concern to those who remained on campus over the New Year. In each dormitory, Wang Jiandong engaged in warm conversations with the students, carefully inquiring about their holiday plans, study schedules, and practical difficulties. He also presented them with Spring Festival gift packages and holiday blessings. He reminded everyone to stay warm and pay attention to dormitory safety, encouraging students to make reasonable holiday plans and spend a warm and fulfilling New Year on campus.

Meanwhile, the university also prioritized providing care and support to students facing severe financial hardship or sudden temporary difficulties, distributing a total of 62,400 yuan in relief funds to 208 affected students. All secondary colleges simultaneously launched warm-hearted initiatives, hosting 11 New Year's Day forums for student representatives in need. During these forums, college leaders engaged in face-to-face discussions with students, attentively listening to their thoughts and concerns, while thoroughly understanding their academic progress, mental state, and living needs. They provided guidance, encouragement, and reassurance, enabling students to genuinely feel the school's care. This further strengthened their resolve, boosted their confidence in growth, and deepened their sense of belonging.

It is reported that the school will soon launch the 2026 winter vacation return travel subsidy and home visit activities to strengthen home-school connections and foster collaborative efforts in student development. In the future, our school will continue to deepen financial aid programs, integrating them with academic tutoring, mental health support, and career guidance to wholeheartedly safeguard the growth and success of economically disadvantaged students.
