Propaganda Department) On the afternoon of January 5th, Chongqing
Institute of Engineering held its 2025 Annual Administrative Heads' Work
Reporting Meeting. President Fangcheng Sun, Party Committee Secretary Changhong
Chen, and all other school leaders present attended the meeting. All
middle-level cadres, reserve cadres, and faculty representatives participated.
Twenty-seven administrative heads from functional departments and secondary
colleges delivered their work reports in succession, comprehensively
summarizing the past year's work, analyzing existing problems and shortcomings,
and planning future development. The meeting was chaired by Yanyan Ming,
Director of the Personnel Department.
Each administrative head, focusing on their respective department's
annual work objectives, key tasks, innovative measures, and personal growth,
provided a detailed report on their solid achievements in 2025 across areas
such as talent cultivation, research innovation, industry-education
integration, and employment services. They candidly analyzed the problems and
shortcomings encountered in their development and, considering the university's
broader development landscape, proposed practical improvement measures and
development plans for 2026. This fully demonstrated their commendable
professional dedication—embodied in the principle of "devoting to one's
post, fulfilling its duties, and being accountable for one's
responsibilities"—and their profound sense of responsibility and mission。
Fangcheng Sun provided comments on the work reports and delivered a speech. He acknowledged the significant achievements made by all departments in fulfilling the core mission of "talent cultivation" and advancing the key tasks of "two integrations and one reform" . He emphasized that upholding the Party's leadership is the fundamental political guarantee for successfully running education, and that fostering virtue through education is the fundamental task of education, which must be integrated throughout the entire process and all aspects of the university's work.
Regarding the next phase of work, Fangcheng Sun stated that it is necessary to clearly understand the situation, firmly root oneself in one's position, work down-to-earth, and aim high.Fangcheng Sun demanded: First, functional departments should play a guiding and leading/pulling role. A linked assessment mechanism should be used to guide secondary colleges in focusing on the university's key tasks. Second, talent cultivation must balance the employment rate with employment quality. The awareness of cultivating students by category should be strengthened to lay the foundation for their long-term development. Third, attention must be paid to the promoting role of research work in teacher growth and student development. Teachers and students should be encouraged to bravely explore and innovate, serving regional development. Fourth, efforts must be concentrated on core tasks. All units should proactively identify problems, make good use of external forces to solve development challenges, and promote the university's leapfrog development with higher standards.
The convening of this administrative work reporting meeting has established a platform for secondary units to exchange experiences and learn from each other. The entire university community will take this reporting session as an opportunity to summarize experiences, address shortcomings, strengthen accountability, and engage in solid work. By focusing precise efforts on the university's central tasks, it will inject strong momentum into the implementation of the university's 15th Five-Year Plan and its high-quality development.
