Shuangqiao Campus Holds Anti-Fraud and Anti-Terrorism Seminar to Fortify Campus Security Shield

To effectively enhance students' capabilities in identifying, preventing, and combating fraud, strengthen their anti-terrorism awareness, build a solid campus security network, and safeguard the property safety and physical and mental health of young students, on the afternoon of March 18, the Shuangqiao Campus Management Committee specially invited Lei Chen, Deputy Director of the Tongqiao Street Police Station, to step onto the campus. A special lecture on anti-fraud and anti-terrorism knowledge was held in the office building lecture hall. More than 500 people including class teachers and cadres from all classes of the campus attended the lecture on site.

During the lecture, Lei Cehn first combined his years of practical experience in anti-fraud and anti-terrorism work to explain in detail the common types of telecom fraud and anti-terrorism incidents targeting college students. Drawing on real cases that recently occurred in nearby universities such as loan fraud, fake game account transactions, fraudulent refunds pretending to be customer service, and part-time job scams, he vividly restored the modus operandi and psychological manipulation tactics of fraudsters—starting from gaining trust through lures like "high salary rebates" and "free benefits", to gradually inducing transfers and demanding sensitive information, and finally carrying out fraud by taking advantage of students' greed and panic. He analyzed every detail on site, making the on-site students deeply feel the concealment and harmfulness of telecom fraud.

Subsequently, Lei Chen elaborated on the common attack tactics used by terrorists in terrorist cases, focusing on explaining to the teachers and students how to identify potential dangers by observing people's abnormal clothing, expressions, and behaviors (such as looking around aimlessly, wandering around important targets) and suspicious items (such as unclaimed parcels and abnormal odors). He also taught self-rescue and mutual aid skills and emergency disposal methods in emergency situations. Lei Chen pointed out that with the development of network technology, preventing the infiltration of extreme ideas and the spread of violent and terrorist audio and video has become a key focus. Spreading violent and terrorist audio and video is an illegal act. He reminded teachers and students to consciously standardize their online behavior, refrain from browsing, downloading, or spreading violent and terrorist audio and video, and maintain a clean online environment.

Safety is the bottom line, and prevention is the key. Going forward, taking this lecture as an opportunity, the campus will continue to deepen the school-police linkage mechanism. Through various forms such as theme class meetings, anti-fraud knowledge check-ins, poster exhibitions, and short video creation, it will carry out normalized anti-fraud and anti-terrorism publicity and education activities. It will promote the integration of anti-fraud and anti-terrorism knowledge into daily campus life, build a security protection network of "school-police linkage, family-school collaboration, and full participation", and escort the growth of young students in our university.
