As the new semester kicks off, teaching and learning move forward hand in hand. To maintain sound teaching order, strengthen the construction of academic atmosphere, and ensure a smooth and orderly start to all teaching work for the 2026 spring semester, President Fangcheng Sun, Party Secretary Changhong Cheng, and other university leaders led a team to conduct a comprehensive teaching inspection at the Nanquan and Shuangqiao campuses on the first day of the semester, March 2. Relevant functional departments accompanied the inspection.

On the opening day, all teaching units at both campuses launched classes on schedule, with teaching work fully underway. The inspection team was divided into five groups, focusing on key links such as teaching preparation, teacher attendance, student attendance, classroom interaction, teaching environment, equipment operation, and service support. They carried out a comprehensive, thorough inspection and supervision to gain a detailed understanding of the overall operation of teaching in the new semester.

According to the inspection results, the university's teaching order is in good shape, marking a solid start to the new semester's teaching work. All teachers arrived early, were fully prepared, delivered clear lectures, created high-quality courseware, emphasized teacher-student interaction in class, and adopted flexible and efficient teaching methods. Students were in high spirits, with a high attendance rate, concentrating intently in class, taking notes thoughtfully, and creating a strong learning atmosphere. All teaching equipment in classrooms operated normally, with teaching support such as multimedia and networks in place. Departments including Infrastructure & Logistics and the Network Information Center provided strong service support, fully demonstrating the uplifting, down-to-earth, and pragmatic spirit of all faculty and students at Chongqing Institute of Engineering in the new semester. For minor issues identified during the inspection, the team provided on-site feedback and urged relevant departments and responsible units to make immediate rectifications to eliminate potential teaching risks in a timely manner.

Teaching quality is the lifeline of a university, and teaching inspection is a crucial measure to consolidate the foundation of teaching quality and ensure the stability of teaching order. University leaders attach great importance to the teaching work at the start of the spring semester, requiring all units to always prioritize teaching work, take this opening inspection as an opportunity to normalize the management of all teaching links, and continuously improve teaching quality. Before the semester began, the Academic Affairs Office coordinated in advance with multiple departments including the Student Affairs Office, Network Information Center, and Infrastructure & Logistics to make thorough preparations for class arrangements, equipment debugging, and environmental guarantee. On the opening day, leaders and relevant staff of each secondary college also went to the frontline of teaching to inspect classrooms and provide service support, ensuring the smooth start of the "first lesson" of the new semester.

This comprehensive spring opening teaching inspection not only fully grasped the operation of teaching on the first day of the new semester but also strengthened the awareness of teaching quality control. Moving forward, the university will carry out normalized teaching supervision and inspection, continuously optimize teaching management, improve service support levels, continuously consolidate the foundation of teaching quality, promote the high-quality development of the university's education and teaching work, and ensure the effective implementation of all work in the new semester.
