Center for College Students’ Quality Education Holds Special Training on "Classroom Teaching and Teaching Innovation"

Net news  (Article/Photos Center for College Students’ Quality Education Chunxia Zou) To focus on classroom effectiveness, empower teachers’ growth, and boost the high-quality development of the university, the Center for College Students’ Quality Education successfully held a special training on "Classroom Teaching and Teaching Innovation" on the afternoon of March 4th. This training adopted a combination of online and offline methods, with the main venue set up in Room 313 of the College Students Service Center on Nanquan Campus, and live-streamed simultaneously via Tencent Meeting. All full-time and part-time teachers of the Center for Quality Education participated in the training.

Huaihong Ta, university supervisor, delivered a speech themed "Viewing a Good Class from the Perspective of Teaching Supervision". Combining her years of supervision experience, she systematically explained the evaluation criteria for "a good class" from six dimensions: teaching objectives, content organization, method innovation, teacher-student interaction, teacher literacy, and teaching effect. She shared that the current quality courses have two prominent problems: "weak interactive design" and "extensive learning evaluation". She put forward practical strategies such as "quick interaction", "group micro-tasks", and "on-site small output achievements", emphasizing that the classroom should make students "move, think and grow", truly realize student-centered teaching, and integrate the cultivation of learning ability and professional literacy into daily teaching.

Chunxia Zou, deputy director of the Center for Quality Education, gave a special report entitled "Experience Sharing on Teaching Innovation Competition" based on her own participation experience. She systematically sorted out the competition process and key links of the Teaching Innovation Competition from the aspects of competition comparison, review points, polishing of achievement reports, and production of classroom recordings, emphasizing that "student-centeredness" is the core orientation of teaching innovation. She encouraged teachers to promote teaching and reform through competitions, closely combine teaching innovation with the educational goal of "three efforts", continuously improve the quality of courses, and help students grow.

In the future, the Center for College Students’ Quality Education will focus on the university’s talent cultivation, regularly carry out teaching training and exchange activities, and continuously transform students’ growth momentum into a strong driving force for the university’s high-quality development through warm educational practices, perceptible growth cases, and visible educational results.
