Net news(article/picture by Teacher Development Center), in order to further promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with education and teaching, guide teachers to explore innovative applications of AI in teaching management, and boost the "classroom revolution", on March 13th, the Teacher Development Center organized the "AI Teaching Innovation and Application Ability Improvement Training". The training specially invited Zhijun Wang, a professor and doctoral supervisor from the Department of Educational Technology, School of Humanities, Jiangnan University, as the keynote speaker, and Min Yu, the assistant director of the Teacher Development Center, as the host. Nearly 300 teachers from the Nanquan Campus participated in the offline training in a centralized manner, while the remaining teachers participated online.

Zhijun Wang, with the topic of "Learner-centered Smart Curriculum Construction in the Age of Intelligence", based on the background of the "AI+" era, focused on the core issues facing current education and teaching. She combined the development trend of artificial intelligence with the direction of educational reform, analyzed the contradiction between traditional standardized education and personalized learning needs, interpreted the application points of connectivist learning theory, and clarified the core connotation of learner-centered curriculum and the constituent elements of smart curriculum. Taking "Online Course Design and Development" as an example, she reconstructed it from five dimensions: concept, goal, environment, process, and evaluation, elaborated on the project-based learning mode driven by both AI and design thinking, shared practical methods such as building a digital and intelligent learning environment, empowering course design with AIGC, and constructing a comprehensive data-driven evaluation system, and fully presented the implementation path of smart curriculum construction, providing a reference template with practical guidance for participating teachers.

During the interactive exchange session, Zhijun Wang meticulously answered the difficulties in curriculum design and confusion about AI teaching applications raised by the teachers one by one. Combining his own research and practical experience, he put forward targeted and highly operable optimization suggestions, effectively addressing the practical pain points and challenges faced by teachers in actual teaching.

In this training, the participating teachers not only deepened their understanding of educational concepts in the AI era, updated their teaching ideas, and significantly improved their AI teaching application abilities, but also mastered methods such as smart curriculum construction and AI-empowered curriculum design, laying a solid foundation for carrying out personalized teaching innovation and improving teaching quality. As the first event of our school's "AI Teaching Innovation and Application Workshop", this training has injected new impetus into the digital transformation of school education. In the future, the school will continue to focus on digital empowerment, build a platform for teacher learning and exchange, carry out a series of AI teaching trainings, promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education and teaching, and assist in the high-quality development of education and teaching.
