News Network (Written by Bingxue Zhao from the Student Affairs
Office / Photos by the University Student Press Corps) To thoroughly implement
the university's talent cultivation philosophy of "guided by enrollment
and employment, based on academic disciplines, rooted in competence
development, and centered on students," and to gain a comprehensive
understanding of students' academic and living conditions after their return to
campus, a delegation led by Changhong Chen, Secretary of the Party Committee of
the university, visited the "one-stop" student community on the
Nanquan Campus on the afternoon of March 2nd to extend New Semester greetings
and care. They were accompanied by Jiandong Wang, member of the Party Committee
and Vice President of the university, along with relevant officials from the
Organization Department of the Party Committee and the Student Affairs Office,
as well as teachers from the community.

Changhong Chen and his delegation inspected
the laundry room, the Party member service station, the self-study rooms, and
the student dormitories within the student community. They conducted on-site
checks of dormitory safety and environmental hygiene, and meticulously examined
the operational status of essential living facilities such as water,
electricity, and laundry equipment. He emphasized that the "one-stop"
student community is a vital front for fostering virtue and nurturing talents.
He instructed relevant departments to be guided by student needs, improve
service functions, refine operational and maintenance guarantees, and enhance
service quality
in all aspects. This will drive the construction and
development of the community to be more efficient and effective, ultimately
creating a favorable environment for student growth and success.
In the student dormitories, Changhong Chen engaged in a warm conversation with the students. He inquired in detail about their progress in internships and job hunting, as well as their academic planning, and showed genuine care for their extracurricular activities and practical difficulties. He encouraged the students to set new goals for the new semester, to read more, communicate more, and engage in more practice, honing their skills and enhancing their comprehensive competence through practical experience. He also instructed the community life mentors to diligently fulfill their duties, strengthen dormitory safety management at the beginning of the semester, reinforce daily inspections and humanistic care, and provide attentive and heartfelt services. The goal is to create a clean, safe, and warm community atmosphere conducive to education.
This visit established a "heart-to-heart bridge" for face-to-face communication between university leaders and students, enabling a precise understanding of students' ideological trends and practical needs. It has clarified the direction for further optimizing the construction of the "one-stop" student community and improving service guarantees. The university will take this visit as an opportunity to transform warm care into work momentum, focusing on accurately addressing the students' most urgent, difficult, and anxious concerns through targeted measures. This will effectively enhance students' sense of belonging, happiness, and fulfillment, safeguarding their growth and success.
