Our University’s Student Legal Volunteer Team Visits the Banan District People’s Procuratorate and Comprehensive Governance Center

To enhance students’ awareness of the rule of law and let them personally experience the sanctity and solemnity of the law, on April 15, our university’s Student Legal Volunteer Team visited the Banan District People’s Procuratorate and the Banan District Comprehensive Governance Center for an on-site study tour, gaining first-hand exposure to daily judicial and administrative work.

The students first visited the Banan District People’s Procuratorate, where they toured the Rule of Law Culture Exhibition Area and Procuratorial Culture Exhibition Area, systematically learning about the procuratorate’s development history, core business scope, and main functions. Afterwards, they proceeded to the Banan District Comprehensive Governance Center to gain an in-depth understanding of the center’s organizational structure and work responsibilities, as well as to learn about the operation mechanism and outcomes of the special popularization of law brand activity “Jiu San Talks Law”.

After the tour, the students held a face-to-face exchange with Xiurong Liu,our university’s Vice President for Legal Affairs and Vice Chairperson of the Banan District Political Consultative Conference. Combining real judicial cases, Liu patiently answered the students’ questions regarding legal practice, career choices in legal work units, and being dismissed during internships. The on-site interaction was active and discussions were in-depth, further helping the students clarify the practical application of law in daily life.

This on-site visit is an important measure for our university to deepen the practice of legal education, and also a beneficial exploration to promote legal education from the classroom to society and from theory to practice. Through immersive experience, the students strengthened their concept of the rule of law, and improved their legal literacy through face-to-face exchanges. The university will continue to innovate forms of legal education, guide young students to respect, study, abide by, and apply the law, strive to cultivate new-era talents with the spirit of the rule of law and a sense of social responsibility, and contribute youthful strength to building a law-based campus and a law-based society.
