Congratulations! Eight Faculty Members from Our University Selected into the Chongqing Municipal Expert Database for Career Education and Employment Guidance in Regular Higher Education Institutions

Net news (article/ picture: Admissions and Employment Office Qiuqing Ye)Recently, the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission officially announced the list of members for the new session of the Expert Database for Career Education and Employment Guidance in Regular Higher Education Institutions. Eight experts from Chongqing Institute of Engineering have been selected for their profound professional competence, extensive practical experience and outstanding work performance, fully demonstrating the university’s educational achievements and the professional caliber of its faculty in the field of career education and employment guidance.

Among them, Jiandong Wang Vice President of the university, was selected as an expert in the Career Education Theory and Employment Policy Research Group; four core on-campus faculty members— You Wu,Director of the Employment Guidance Center, Yan Huang, Director of the Student Affairs Office, Chunxia Zou,Director of the Student Quality Education Center, and Mei Huang, Deputy Director of the Career Development and Employment Guidance Teaching and Research Office—were selected into the Career Education and Employment Guidance Group; three senior industry mentors recommended by the university—Ma Guosheng from Chongqing Zhengda Huali Software Co., Ltd., Rong Chen from Chongqing Transsion Communication Technology Co., Ltd., and Yunqiao Chen from Chongqing Pingwei Industrial Co., Ltd.—were selected into the Industry Development and Employment Situation Analysis Group. The term of appointment for this expert database is three years.

In accordance with the work deployment of the Municipal Education Commission, the selected experts will assume important educational and think tank responsibilities, mainly undertaking theoretical research, practical innovation, curriculum development, faculty training, competition guidance, policy consultation, industry employment situation analysis, and special supervision and evaluation in the field of career education and employment guidance.

In recent years, the university has consistently focused on its core positioning of cultivating application-oriented talents, deeply engaged in employment education, and achieved fruitful results. The selected expert team won the Second Prize of Chongqing Municipal Teaching Achievements in 2025 and has repeatedly excelled in the Chongqing Municipal Employment Guidance Curriculum Competition; they have guided students to win the Silver Award in the 3rd National College Students’ Career Planning Competition. The university has been rated as an Outstanding Collective in Employment and Entrepreneurship Work in Chongqing Municipality for seven consecutive years, with steadily improving comprehensive strength in employment education.

Going forward, the university will take this selection as an opportunity to continuously deepen the professional and tiered development of the faculty for career education and employment guidance, give full play to the think tank leadership and exemplary radiation role of the selected experts, and deepen teaching reform, innovate educational models and optimize the service system based on expert resources.
