All procedures were carried out in strict accordance with the association’s regulations and legal procedures. Chen Changhong, the Party Secretary of our university, was elected as the president of the Chongqing Piano Association for its fifth term.

At the meeting, Tan Cui, a cadre from the Comprehensive Party Committee of Social Organizations at the Municipal Culture and Tourism Commission, read out the approval document issued by the Social Work Department of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee regarding the candidate for the head of the Chongqing Piano Association.

The meeting heard and approved the work reports of the fourth council, the financial report, and the report of the supervisory board. It also approved the newly revised statutes, membership fees, and election procedures for the next term. The fifth council, supervisory board, and new leadership team were elected through secret ballot. Chen Changhong was elected as the president of the Chongqing Piano Association for its fifth term. Zou Junxing, Li Zhiyou, and Xiong Xiong were elected as vice presidents, while Zheng Yiwen was chosen as secretary-general.

In his statement, Chen Changhong said that he would live up to the trust and responsibilities placed in him. He would lead the new leadership of the association, uphold the principle of party building as a guiding force, remain true to the artistic mission of the organization, and further improve the services provided to members. He also planned to create high-quality exchange platforms and organize meaningful artistic events. His goals included promoting the popularity of piano art, nurturing young musical talents, and driving the association’s development towards greater professionalism and branding. In doing so, he aimed to integrate piano art more fully into urban cultural life, thereby contributing to Chongqing’s efforts to become a culturally strong city.

The association’s general meeting for leadership transition being held at our school is a testament to the high recognition society places on our school’s educational capabilities and cultural achievements. In recent years, the school has placed great emphasis on art education and campus culture development, continuously improving its aesthetic education framework and actively contributing to the local cultural community. With Chen Changhong elected as the association’s president, we will be able to build stronger connections between universities and industry, promoting deeper integration of aesthetic education, artistic practices, and local cultural development at our school, thereby facilitating its high-quality, sustainable growth.

Next, the school will take this as an opportunity to further deepen reforms in aesthetic education, expand channels for community service, and play a greater role in art popularization, talent cultivation, and cultural heritage preservation. By using art to nourish people’s spirits and culture to enrich the campus environment, the school aims to continuously enhance its influence and reputation in society.
