Net news (article/ picture Recruitment Office Qiuqing Ye) To guide our students in clarifying their career development direction, honing practical job-seeking skills, and effectively providing employment guidance services, on May 12, the School Employment Guidance Center conducted the online alumni lecture sharing event "Campus Sailing, Career Voyage: My Job-Seeking Practice and Growth Journey" through the ELive platform, with more than 2,700 students participating in learning and exchanges online.

The event specially invited Zaoping Hu, an outstanding alumnus from the 2025 Automation cohort, as the main speaker. During his time at school, Zaoping Hu excelled in both academics and conduct, was diligent and thoughtful, and was repeatedly honored as a school-level advanced individual and excellent member of the Communist Youth League. After graduation, he successfully joined China Huadian Corporation, focusing on frontline positions in thermal control maintenance, and possesses solid professional skills and practical experience in employment and work at a state-owned enterprise.

In his sharing session, Zaoping Hu provided detailed explanations around four core sections. In the 'Position' section, he unlocked job solutions through his own work experience and shared the real situation on the industry frontlines; in the 'Diverse Practice' section, he imparted methods to solidify campus foundations from three aspects: professional knowledge learning, participation in competitions, and comprehensive quality improvement; in the 'Job-Seeking Expertise' section, he explained in detail the hard skills of job-seeking, including resume preparation, job application, interview techniques, and internship accumulation; in the 'Looking Back at Youth' section, he encouraged students to maintain high execution efficiency, cherish the campus opportunities for trial and error, and plan their future direction scientifically.

After the sharing, Zaoping Hu answered students’ questions on popular job-seeking topics such as 'state-owned enterprise recruitment processes, development prospects in thermal control positions, obtaining professional certifications, resume optimization, and internship selection,' providing practical advice based on his own experiences, creating a lively interactive atmosphere.

This alumni lecture platformed experience sharing from outstanding alumni, fully leveraging the exemplary role model effect, effectively dispelling students' job-seeking confusion, and enhancing their employment planning awareness and job-seeking competitiveness. Going forward, the school will continue to launch a series of alumni sharing activities, implementing multiple measures to safeguard students’ job search and employment, and helping young students set sail for great achievements.
