Our school held a seminar on elective course teaching in the second semester of the 2018-2019 academic year

The meeting was presided over by Jing Li, Dean of educational administration. Vice-President Changhua Cheng, Vice-President and Director of Shuangqiao Campus Management Committee, Secretary of General Party Branch, President Guohua Jiang of General Education College, Vice-President of Secondary Colleges and all elective course teachers, teachers' development center and relevant personnel of the Educational Administration Department participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, Jing Li gave a simple demonstration of classroom teaching. Through general elective courses, professional elective courses and MOOCs teaching, the teachers talked freely about their personal experience and feelings, shared the experience of curriculum design, curriculum arrangement, teaching methods and classroom management, and analyzed the common problems and personality problems existing in elective course management and teaching, and put forward constructive suggestions and suggestions. At the same time, we have exchanged opinions and reached consensus on the division of curriculum ownership, the creation of high-quality elective courses, online open course elections, and information publicity of elective courses.

Changhua Cheng emphasized that elective courses play a vital role in the development of college students' horizons. He pointed out that elective courses should carry out the idea of "busy students, lively teaching and strict management", and solve the problems of elective courses but not elective courses and weak elective courses. The whole school should work hard in three aspects, the construction of elective resources, the construction of network teaching platform and fine management. At the same time, he hoped that all teachers should pay more attention to curriculum design and enhance their self-confidence in elective courses.

After the meeting, Changhua Cheng organized the Academic Affairs Office and the relevant personnel of the secondary college to study and discuss specific measures to strengthen the construction of elective courses.
