Professor Jianping Sang of Wuhan University Held a Lecture at Shuangqiao Campus

Net news (Article/Photo Shuangqiao Campus Press Corps Lan Luo Caimei Yang)At 14:00 on October 15th, Professor Jianping Sang, chief expert of Wuhan University General Education Center and doctoral supervisor of Physical Science and Technology Institute of Wuhan University, held a lecture on "Philosophical Thinking and Scientific Realization —From Plato to Einstein" in the lecture hall of Shuangqiao campus. More than 700 teachers and students from Shuangqiao campus attended the lecture, which was presided over by vice President Guohua Jiang.

Professor Jianping Sang gave a detailed explanation on such topics as "Ancient Greek Philosophy", "The View of Time and Space in Philosophy and Science", "Scientific Development and Rational Reflection", and asked, "If the end of the world came, you could only choose three formulas, three theories and three sentences, how would you choose?" This question has been discussed and communicated with students. Lively case, humorous language, and positive interaction let the students walk into a philosophy world and understand the development of science. He ended with "The road ahead will be long, I shall search."and told everyone "Science never ends.". Our scientific exploration and pursuit of ideal world is endless. The lecture ended in the relaxed happy atmosphere.

At 16 PM, professor Jianping Sang also held a lecture on "General Education and General Courses -- the Design and Practice of the Course: Classic Guide of Natural Science" in Room 201 of the teaching building. He introduced the design idea of Classic Guide of Natural Science, and presented a wonderful teaching on site. Through sharing, teachers can get close to the general education concept and teaching practice of Wuhan University, and have a better understanding of the significance and value of general education, which will benefit everyone. The faculty of General Studies attended the lecture.
