Our School Held the Sixth Counselor Quality Competition

At 9 o'clock in the morning, the final of the competition officially started in the 807 Lecture Hall of the 7th Faculty in Nanquan Campus. Professor Xixian Zhou, the former secretary of the Party Committee of Chongqing Industrial and Commercial University and the leader of the expert group of the undergraduate college teams of the previous college counselors' competence competitions in Chongqing, was invited to serve as the general judge of the competition. Jiandong Wang, the vice president,  Yan Huang, the director of the Student Department, You Wu, the deputy director of the Enrollment and Employment Department, and Chunxia  Zou , the deputy director of the College Students' Quality Education Center, served as the on-site judges.The secretaries of the secondary colleges and the head of the student section wait until the scene to observe and learn.

It comprehensively examines the contestants' comprehensive abilities such as political theory literacy, analysis and judgment, problem solving ability, and language expression ability.

After a whole day of fierce competition, Yanling Zeng of the School of Management won the first prize; Oulun Li of Digital Arts College and  Xiaoli Chen of Shuangqiao Campus won the second prize; Li Cai from the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, Tian Hao from the School of Computer and Internet of Things, and Xuan Yu from the School of Software won the third prize; Xiaoping Wu, School of Management, FangWang , School of Software, Chenglin Wang, School of Architecture and Engineering, Lv Yingli and Zhang Wei, Shuangqiao Campus, Yang Yunjin , School of Electronic Information, and Xia Cai, School of Digital Arts won the Excellence Award.

After the competition, Xixian Zhou made comments on the spot. First of all, he spoke highly of the organization of the competition, and fully affirmed the good professional quality and excellent professional ability of the counselors in the competition; He especially praised the excellent quality and effectiveness of our school's counselors in the process of education, which is student-centered and dedicated to educating people. He was moved by the persistence and responsibility of the counselors who never forget their original intention and are committed to educating people.

Xixian Zhou also analyzed the case discussion, heart to heart talk and other competition links one by one, and combined with his own personal experience in the ideological and political education work in colleges and universities over the years, he made a deep analysis of the key points of answering typical cases of student work, such as students' ideological and political education, financial aid for students in difficulty, employment guidance services, and psychological health counseling, and put forward constructive methods and countermeasures.

This competition is an important measure to strengthen the construction of the counselor team in our school. The purpose is to effectively improve the theoretical level, professional ability and professional quality of our college counselors and provide a strong guarantee for the ideological and political education of our college students through the exchange of advanced experience and the transfer of value identity through competition for training, competition for training, competition for learning, competition for construction.
