College Students' Quality Education Center holds online lecture "Science and Art Talk"

Liu Bing is the Director of the Center for Science and Technology Communication and Popularization of China Association for Science and Technology and the executive director of the Chinese Society for the History of Science and Technology, and the vice president of the Chinese Society for Book Critics. His research interests include the history of science, philosophy of science and the communication of science and culture.
At THE BEGINNING OF THE LECTURE, LIU BING INTRODUCED THE TOPIC THAT SCIENCE AND ART HAVE BECOME A HOT TOPIC ACROSS DISCIPLINES IN THE HUMANITIES FIELD WITH A picture OF THE BUILDING OF Sydney Art AND SCIENCE Museum, WHICH fully aroused STUDENTS 'interest IN THE lecture. In the lecture, Liu Bing told the students about the relationship between science and art at different levels from the perspective of STS, and illustrated the specific relationship between the two with a wide range of vision and many examples. At the end of the lecture, Liu Bing once again mentioned that "art and science are still emerging fields of study" and asked the students a thought-provoking question: "How do they identify themselves and how do they position themselves in the study of intersections? This is still an important issue that needs to be discussed "to motivate students who are interested in this topic to continue to explore in this field.
The lecture was attended by more than 4,000 people. It not only stimulated students' interest in science and art, let them learn more about science and art, but also let them have a deeper understanding of the relationship between science and art, realize the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge, and achieve the expected effect of the lecture.
