The Eighth Career Planning Competition was Held in Our School

Net news（article Career Guidance Center Qiuqing Ye ,picture University Press Corps Yuanhao Zhang) In the afternoon of April 27th, the 8th Career Planning Competition of Chongqing Institute of Engineering and the 3rd College Student Mock Recruitment Competition of Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle "Smart Bashu" were held in the lecture hall of the 7th Teaching Building 807. 22 outstanding players were selected through the preliminary rounds of the second-level colleges and finally entered the school-level final.

The final competition included three sessions of career planning book review, self-presentation and structured interview. The contestants confidently and generously showed their solid professional ability, rich practical experience and good professionalism. For the career planning and job hunting intention of the contestants on the field, the judges' questions were both "tricky" and "precise" to hit the core issues such as job matching. After a fierce competition, Anwen Huang from the School of Software won the first prize; Junhan Li and Baihui Li from the School of Construction Engineering won the second prize; Zhang Weiwei from the School of Construction Engineering, Zengge Feng and Yangyang Li from the School of Management, and Xiaohai Chen from the School of Digital Arts won the third prize.

After the competition, Yin Zhang, deputy general manager of Zhongxing Education Valley Chongqing Branch, a judge of the competition, painted a portrait of fresh graduates favored by employers from the perspective of employers, including professional knowledge and skills, problem solving ability, independent thinking ability, stress resistance, big picture awareness, and understanding gratitude, etc. He also encouraged students to have both the future in mind and the reality in their career path. The students were also encouraged to be realistic and down-to-earth. You Wu, the deputy director of enrollment and employment office of the university, affirmed the wonderful performance of the students in the competition and commented on the performance of the contestants from three directions: preparation, presentation and result. You Wu pointed out that the students should have a deep understanding of the industry, positions and destinations according to their interests, abilities and values, and make a career plan suitable for themselves and encouraged them to have a family feeling of serving the grassroots, the masses and the society.

This is the third time for our university to participate in the "Smart Bashu" Chengdu-Chongqing Region Twin Cities Economic Circle College Student Mock Job Hunting Competition, which attracted more than 6,200 students to apply for the competition. Through this competition, we hope to help students understand the job market in advance, establish correct career values, make appropriate career planning and master core job hunting skills, so as to finally enhance the core competitiveness of graduates' employment and promote their fuller and higher quality employment.
