Three Major Network Operators Support CQIE’s Epidemic Prevention Efforts

Net news (article/Information Centre picture/ Internet) Recently, in order to ensure online teaching and learning for all students and teachers during the epidemic, classes were suspended without stopping, and the three major network operators took active action to reflect the role and social responsibility of the central enterprises in practice.

As a strategic partner of the university, China Telecom has increased the bandwidth of the university’s teaching and research outlets from 600M to 1.7G free of charge since the beginning of the epidemic. 100G traffic packets were provided free of charge to all teachers and students using the telecommunication service after the communication and coordination of the university’s information centre. Professional engineers were also sent to inspect and test the network of all student residences, which ensured the normal operation of the university’s network teaching work.

China Mobile and China Unicom also followed suit, giving free 100G traffic packs to all students and teachers, and setting up a 24-hour service hotline with professional engineers to respond and deal with network problems encountered by students during the teaching process in a timely manner.

With the concerted efforts of all staff and students and the support of many community organisations, the school has been able to ensure that education and student life are carried out in an orderly manner.
