Good News! The Peking Opera Troupe of CQIE Won Many Honors in The 8th College Student Drama Performance Season!

Net news(article/picture School Youth League Committee Jun Zhang)Recently, in the 8th Chongqing College Student Drama Performance Season sponsored by Chongqing Municipal Propaganda Department, Chongqing Education Commission, Chongqing Culture and Tourism Commission, Chongqing Federation of Literature and Arts, and undertaken by Chongqing Opera Association, Peking Opera Troupe of our University staged the drama “DiaoChuang”, which stood out from the 46 dramas applied for participation and won many honors. Through the excellent organization of the school and the wonderful performances of teachers and students, our school won the “Excellent Organization Unit Award” in this performance season. Peking Opera Troupe of our school won the “Excellent Performance Drama Award”; Mr. Xiong Wei, the instructor of Peking Opera Troupe, won the “Excellent Instructor Award”.  Junfeng Yang, a member of the Peking Opera Troupe, won the “Outstanding Actor Award”.

It is reported that the drama performance season of Chongqing college students is the most influential amateur drama special activity, which not only produces a number of excellent plays, but also cultivates a number of outstanding campus drama talents. “Diao Chuang” is a classic Sichuan opera. As a one-man show, it is directed by Shu Yuanhui, the second-generation inheritor of the Yang School of Chengdu Sichuan Theater, and Xiong Wei and Tan Xiaohong, national first-class actors of Chongqing Sichuan Theater. In addition, the play needs to accurately grasp the psychological process of progressive development of characters in the performance, singing, doing, helping, playing, reading and other comprehensive performances are very time-consuming. With the efforts of teachers and students, this work effectively demonstrates the professional performance ability of Peking Opera Troupe members in our school, shows the outstanding opera performance skills and aesthetic level of our college students, and also confirms the quality education and talent training achievements of our school. Our school will continue to promote academic and cultural activities, strengthen cultural confidence, cultivate cultural consciousness, promote the inheritance and development of drama arts, and cultivate more outstanding talents for the society.

The wonderful ending of this competition shows the youth style and artistic talent of our students, affirming our excellent art education ability and teaching level, improves the comprehensive quality of our students, and plays an important role in cultivating and deepening the cultural implication of our school in the future, improving the CQIE humanistic quality and aesthetic education thoughts of heavy industry students.
