Over the years, our school has constantly innovated the working mechanism to achieve a virtuous cycle of Party building, school development and talent training. Adhering to moral education as the first priority and following the basic laws of education and teaching, we have formed a higher level of talent training system, integrating moral education into ideological and moral education, cultural knowledge education and social practice education, and achieved fruitful results. Quan Tian , a 2016 graduate majoring in engineering cost, is one of them.

Quan Tian , a student majoring in engineering cost in our school in grade 2016, has won the title of "Morning Class Month" and the first prize of "Speech Contest" for many times in school. In 2021, he passed the selection of college student village official and worked in the People's Government of Sangri Town, Sangri County, Shannan, Tibet Autonomous Region. Won the "First Prize" of the Youth group in the finals of the 2023 Tibet Autonomous Region Youth Building Strong Chinese Community Consciousness Keynote Speech Contest. Upon learning that he had won the prize,Quan Tian called Chunxia Zou from the Quality Education Center of our university and shared the joy.

Not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of risks

Quan Tian now serves as deputy mayor of Sangri Town, Sangri County, Xizang Province, in charge of land and civil engineering projects. Working with the masses was his favorite job because it really helped them solve their real problems. Of course, he also encountered many challenges. He came to a new place and a new position alone, and had to adapt to a new environment, a new pace of work and a new way of working. He has been carrying this spirit of dedication to work in Tibet, and he has integrated this spirit into his services to the masses, doing practical things for them, and truly coming from the masses and going to the masses. When Quan Tian talks about this, his words are sincere and reveal his hope for the future development.

Where there is a will, honor his body

Many people think that "language expression ability" is a shortcoming of students in science and technology colleges. However, the school offers the compulsory course "Speech and eloquence" to train students' eloquence in the morning class in the freshman and sophomore years, helps students improve their public expression ability, builds the "College students' three-level and nine-level advanced eloquence training model", and writes supporting textbooks. The online course platform "Speech and Eloquence" has been established, and the teaching content and training methods have been boldly reformed and innovated. After 8 years of practice, the public expression ability of over 30,000 students has been effectively improved, and Quan Tian is also one of them who has benefited.

During the period of school, Quan Tian has won the "morning class Month champion" and the first prize of "speech contest" for many times. After graduation, he gave full play to the skills he had practiced in school. Quan Tian won the first prize of the youth group in the 2023 keynote Speech Contest of "Tibet Autonomous Region Youth Cast a Strong Sense of Community of the Chinese Nation". On the road of work, he continued to work hand in hand with the Tibetan compatriots, devoting his hard sweat to the border areas of the motherland and making selfless contributions to the development of the border areas of the motherland.
