Our School Held an Academic Report on "Current International Situation and China's Strategic Choice"

Net news (article/School of Marxism Zhen Wu、Science and Technology Branch Shiyi Li picture/College student press corps Xingdeng He) In order to strengthen the academic atmosphere of social sciences,improve the academic level of cadres and full-time teachers in related fields,and expand the horizon of teachers and students,the school held an academic report on "The current International situation and China's strategic Choice" in the lecture hall of the office building on the afternoon of May 10th.Professor Yong Pan,an expert in international relations,Vice Chairman of Chongqing Federation of Social Science and part-time Professor of Chongqing Technology and Business University,was specially invited to give a lecture.Mingshu Tan,Party Secretary and supervisor,presided over the lecture. More than 100 people attended the lecture.

This lecture begins with the report of the Party's 20 National Congress, "The world is undergoing unprecedented changes,and the world is entering a new period of upheaval and change.The changes in the world, The Times and history are unfolding in an unprecedented way." The paper analyzed the hot issues at home and abroad such as the Russia-Ukraine crisis, the strategic game between China and the United States,and China's strategic choice.It mainly discusses the origin, current situation and impact of the Russia-Ukraine crisis.In the section of Sino-US strategic game,it describes the US containment of China,the two logics of the US containment of China,the deepest root of the Sino-US contradiction,the Biden administration's China policy and the formula of the US safeguarding hegemony,followed by an in-depth analysis of China's strategic choice.Finally,Professor Yong Pan puts forward several inspirations:there is no good or bad social system,only appropriate and inappropriate;Suitable for their own,is the best;No social system in the world is perfect and needs constant reform and improvement.During the whole lecture process,the teachers and students concentrated on listening to the report carefully,carefully taking notes,and deeply enlightening their thinking.

In the nearly three-hour lecture,Professor Yong Pan used his rich experience,professional insight and witty language to make an in-depth analysis of the current unpredictable international situation and China's strategic choice.With a large amount of information,deep intention and high standing,he brought us a feast of academic food,which has a strong guiding significance for the school's social science research and the construction of relevant courses.

As the keynote speaker of this academic lecture,Professor Yong Pan has worked in the research office of the CPC Municipal Committee and the Propaganda Department of the CPC Municipal Committee for many years,and has been engaged in policy research for a long time.He is both a leader and an expert in international relations research,and has profound attainments in this field.More than 30 theoretical articles have been published in such journals as Global Times,Study Times,Chongqing Daily, Contemporary Party Members,Reference Net and Chongqing Social Sciences.Among them,"Four Questions about Whether China can Lead the World" has been affirmed by policy leaders."The West Is Swallowing the Bitter Fruit of Neoliberalism" has been reprinted in full by Renmin University.Professor Yong Pan has long paid attention to the research of international relations and current Chinese politics.He has participated in the drafting of major comprehensive documents of Chongqing Government for many times and undertaken many major research reports.
