Technology Empowers Culture: You are in the Moment—Chongqing Institute of Engineering Chinese Culture Animation R&D and Communication Centre Participated in Chongqing Science and Technology Activity Week

(Net news article/picture School of Digital Arts Tieyan Zhao)On the morning of May 20th, the launch ceremony and main exhibition of the 2023 Chongqing Science and Technology Activity Week with the theme of "Love Science, Respect Science" was held in the Western (Chongqing) Science City. The Chinese Culture and Animation Research and Development Centre of Chongqing Engineering College participated in this event as a municipal-level science base.

The centre focuses on traditional Chinese culture, using digital expression to tell people traditional cultural stories from different perspectives, allowing the public to experience the historical and artistic values it carries, raising people's awareness of the importance of good traditional culture, arousing national cultural confidence and strengthening the social influence of traditional culture.

The themes of the Centre's exhibition have strong ethnic characteristics and a unique aesthetic style, and traditional Chinese handicrafts and creative products are a beautiful sight at the venue, with mini-games corresponding to each theme, such as "Guess what you see in me" in the theme of Bayu culture, and "Topography of the names of Sichuan and Chongqing regions" in the theme of Chinese character culture. Topping up place names in Sichuan and Chongqing", etc. Participating teachers and students actively promoted cultural science to the public, using a fun and educational approach to convey the excellent traditional Chinese culture to people.Liwei Yang, Deputy Chief Designer of China Manned Space Engineering, attended the event and was fascinated by our science exhibits, stopping to watch them.
