CQIE Added Three New Bachelor’s Degree Programs, Including “Information Security”

Net news(article Academic Affairs Office  Kefeng  Jiang /picture Party Committee Propaganda Department) Recently, Chongqing Academic Degrees Committee issued a notice to approve three majors of our university, including Information Security, Network and New Media and Human Resource Management, as bachelor’s degree granting majors. So far, there are 24 undergraduate majors in our university for bachelor’s degree awarding.

The approved three majors, including information security, started to enroll in 2019, and after four years of professional construction, they basically meet the needs of talent cultivation in terms of training target orientation, talent cultivation program and curriculum, teachers, laboratories, internship training bases, library materials and other conditions, and students are highly satisfied with the operation of the school. According to the spirit of the Notice of the Office of Chongqing Academic Degrees Committee on the Review of Bachelor’s Degree Authorization in 2023 (Letter [2023] No.1 of Chongqing Academic Degrees Office) and the requirements of the university, the relevant secondary colleges prepared the materials and organized the review carefully, and successfully completed the task of declaration and passed the expert review and recognition of Chongqing Academic Degrees Committee.

Professional construction is a long-term work, which must be constantly pursued. The university will take this opportunity to further deepen the reform of talent training mode, clarify the positioning of majors, strengthen the connotation construction, highlight the characteristics of majors, improve the school conditions, standardize teaching management, continuously improve the level of undergraduate education and effectively ensure the quality of bachelor's degree award.
