Our School Held a Founding Conference for the School of Software and the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence

To adapt to local economic and industrial development, on the September 20th, the school held the inaugural meeting of the School of Software and the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in Conference Room 201 of the Administrative Building. It is reported that the two colleges were formerly known as the School of Software and Artificial Intelligence.  Yeping Zhang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President, Qionghua Wang, Vice President, and all faculty members from the School of Software and Big Data and Artificial Intelligence attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by the Director of Personnel, Yanyan Ming.

At the meeting, Qionghua Wang read out the documents on organizational restructuring and cadre appointment, and introduced the new leadership teams of the two colleges to the attendees one by one. She hoped that the new leaders of the two colleges could work together, unite and act boldly, and contribute wisdom, strategies, and strength to the construction and development of the school.

Longfu Zhou, Assistant President and Dean of the School of Software, delivered a speech stating that we will resolutely implement the resolutions of the school's Party Committee and Council, steadily advance the work of the separated college, carefully organize the handover of various tasks, and restore good operational order as soon as possible. Qin Li, Dean of the School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, gave a speech introducing his personal basic situation, analyzing the industry development and professional matching, thinking about strengthening discipline and professional construction, and envisioning the next steps of work.

Yeping Zhang gave a detailed introduction to the performance and employment experiences of the new leaders of the two colleges, pointing out that the separation of the Software College, Big Data College, and Artificial Intelligence College is a significant strategic consideration for the school council to gain insight into industry development trends, objectively analyze the current situation of industry education connection, and focus on the long-term development of discipline and professional construction, which has great practical significance for the development of the school. After successfully passing the undergraduate teaching evaluation, the school will open a new chapter, embark on a new journey, and move towards the goal of building a distinctive engineering and technology university. The new leadership teams of the two colleges must improve their position, seek deep development, and break through innovation. While focusing on the construction of existing disciplines and majors, they will focus on promoting the construction of national first-class majors and enhancing scientific research capabilities, striving to achieve more and better high-quality results.
