Our School Held the Fifth Student Congress

Net news (article/picture Youth League Committee Jun Zhang) On the afternoon of October 13th, the fifth student Congress of CQIE was held in the 807 conference room of the seventh Teaching building. Che Wang, executive chairman of Chongqing Student Federation, Jiandong Wang, member of the Party Committee and vice president of the school, attended the meeting, heads of the student work Department of the Party Committee, the school League Committee and other departments, the secretary of the general Party branch of the secondary college, the secretary of the sub-league committee, representatives of the student union of Chongqing University of Technology and other brother colleges and universities and more than 300 student representatives of our school participated in the meeting.

On the afternoon of October 12th, the preparatory meeting of the Student Congress was held in the 807 conference room of the seventh Teaching Building. The meeting deliberated and adopted the list of candidates for the presidium of the Congress, the agenda of the Congress, the election method of the Congress and other documents, laying the foundation for the convening of the formal meeting.

The opening ceremony kicked off with the majestic national anthem. Che Wang first read the approval document of Chongqing Student Association, then Ziling Liu, member of the school Party committee, read the approval of the Committee of CQIE, and Xiangyu Chen, student union of Chongqing University of Technology, sent a congratulatory letter to our school on behalf of sister universities.

Finally, Jiandong Wang spoke. He stressed that the fifth Student Congress held today is a major event in the political life of students in our school, and it is also a new starting point for the work of the student union of our school. In the new situation that our school has just passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education, the student union needs to further play the positive role of "the home of students and the bridge between teachers and students", unite and lead the majority of students, and devote themselves to the vivid practice of the construction and development of the school with a high sense of political responsibility and historical mission, to grasp new tasks, achieve new achievements and create new achievements. Jiandong Wang put forward three hopes to the delegates and the students' union: First, I hope that everyone will firm their ideals and beliefs, tree firm struggle; Second, I hope everyone has the courage to take on the dedication, bloom the flower of struggle; Third, we hope that everyone can practice excellent skills and consolidate the foundation of service.

In the follow-up agenda,Yanjiang Zhang, the rotating president of the Student Union of our school, made a work report to the conference, respectively, from "firm ideals and beliefs, ideological guidance to create a new situation", "centering on the Party and government center, earnestly working hard to take new missions", "building a platform for growth, taking multiple measures to achieve new achievements", "rooted in the rights and interests of students, consolidating the foundation to develop new services", "and addressing the symptoms of the problem. The five main aspects of organizational reform are reviewed and summarized. From the "school style construction project implementation as the main line", "quality education brand activities as the focus", "the fundamental interests of students as the starting point" and "self-construction as the foothold" four aspects of the work outlook. Yutong Li, a member of the presidium of the Student Union, made a proposal work report. She drew out the main proposals of this conference from the basic situation of proposal collection and the main ideas of proposal work. The proposal puts forward constructive suggestions for the development of the school from four aspects: education and teaching, study style construction, campus construction and campus life, effectively reflects the hot issues focused by the students, and puts forward solutions to the shortcomings.

After the official representatives took a group photo, each group held a meeting separately.In the election session of the general assembly,162 official representatives voted openly,the chief vote teller Shu Wang read the "CQIE fifth Student Congress election results Report",Yanjiang Zhang,Yutong Li,Quan Ding,Junjie Chen and other four students were elected as the presidium of the fifth session of the Student Union, successfully completed the task of the general assembly. In the impassioned and heroic school song, the fifth student congress of our school ended successfully.

The grand blueprint encourages people to forge ahead, and the mission of youth is supreme glory! The successful holding of the fifth Student Congress will surely become an important milestone in the history of the student union. The student union of our school will inherit and carry forward the Party's striving spirit, practice the school motto of "responsible and trustworthy, seeking excellence and innovation", lead the students to reform and innovate with the spirit of struggle, serve the students wholeheartedly with a new attitude and high-spirited style, live up to their trust, fulfill their mission, explore and innovate, and contribute their youth to the journey of building a distinctive engineering and technology university!
