At the award ceremony, Changhong Chen stated that in the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, technological innovation has put forward higher requirements for the construction and development of higher education institutions. As an application-oriented undergraduate institution that is highly compatible with key industries, pillar industries, and emerging industries in Chongqing, and characterized by information technology and software, Chongqing Institute of Engineering needs to comprehensively promote the integration of science and education, industry and education, and vocational education to achieve effective talent training models; We need to focus on the "33618" modern manufacturing cluster system in Chongqing and build a modern industrial college; We need to explore the establishment of a talent chain that connects technical and skilled talents, on-site engineers, and outstanding engineers, in order to cultivate innovative and versatile talents that adapt to new situations and requirements for the country.

This competition adheres to the principles of openness, fairness, and impartiality. After expert group qualification review, blind evaluation preliminary review, group competition, and final competition, 8 special prizes, 25 first prizes, 60 second prizes, and 102 third prizes were ultimately selected. Among them, 8 projects, including "Forest Mountain Fire Real time Monitoring and Extinguishing Drone" from our school's School of Electronic Information, and "Metal Line Expansion Coefficient Instrument Based on TRIZ Theory" from our basic school, won special prizes. And according to the relevant requirements of the national competition, some outstanding projects will be selected to represent Chongqing City in the 2023 China Innovation Method Competition finals.

Fan Ge pointed out that the journey of building a modern new Chongqing has begun, and there is great potential to promote and apply innovative methods in Chongqing's construction of a talent center and innovation highland in the western region. As one of the organizers of the competition, the school currently has 2 municipal level scientific and technological innovation teams and 1 municipal level innovation and entrepreneurship practice base. School Heavy Industry Innovation Valley is a national registered innovation space, with nearly 50 incubated enterprises and nearly 30 innovation teams. The average annual turnover of the enterprises is over 24 million, driving employment and entrepreneurship for over 500 people. In the past three years, students have won over 400 national awards in subject competitions.

The holding of this competition has promoted the school's adoption of innovative methods for education and teaching, scientific research, and product development. The school has set up courses on innovative methods in teaching, and has held multiple training sessions to enhance the ability of innovative methods. In this competition, a total of 18 student teams and 3 teacher teams from our school were shortlisted for on-site defense. In the group stage of the final, 2 projects were shortlisted for the Grand Prize public defense, and ultimately won 2 Grand Prizes in the 16 to 8 Grand Prize competition.

It is reported that during the competition held on October 29th, our school also held the 2023 Autumn Campus Double Choice with the theme of "Gathering Innovative Talents to Create a Better Future". A total of dozens of enterprises, including Keens (China) Co., Ltd., Chongqing Dajiang Power Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Jiaxing Star Semiconductor Co., Ltd., were attracted to attend the conference, bringing in nearly 600 positions. The close integration of the competition and the double selection activities has built a bridge for communication and understanding between enterprises and students.
